Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a CNC Programmer for our client. This role is responsible for developing effective CNC machining programs, selecting appropriate machining strategies and tooling, and working closely with engineering and production personnel to ensure components are manufactured safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This role is responsible for developing effective CNC machining programs, selecting appropriate machining strategies and tooling, and working closely with engineering and production personnel to ensure components are manufactured safely, accurately, and efficiently.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Review engineering drawings, routing instructions, part specifications, solid models, and ERP information to determine manufacturing requirements.
- Navigate the company’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to access drawings and solid models.
- Develop machining strategies and select appropriate tooling to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Create CNC turning and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling programs using GibbsCAM software.
- Provide machinists with clear setup procedures, program files, tooling information, and machining guidance.
- Work directly with engineers, supervisors, and machinists to resolve manufacturing and component-quality issues.
- Serve as a liaison between industrial engineering and the manufacturing floor.
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized programming processes, family-of-parts programming, and the CNC program library.
- Assist the Quality Department with identifying and resolving nonconformance issues.
- Complete additional projects and assignments as needed.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Degree or technical certification in Industrial Engineering, CNC Machining Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience programming CNC turning centers and machining centers.
- Experience with GibbsCAM is strongly preferred.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, ANSI standards, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience writing macros in GibbsCAM or working with another programming language.
- Experience with virtual machining verification software, preferably VERICUT.
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, setups, and manufacturing best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, quality personnel, and production employees.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
