Manual Machinist

Position Overview:National Roll Kote is seeking a Machinist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a background in machining and proficiency in operating various manual machine equipment. The individual will manufacture various items using a variety of manual machining equipment while producing high quality components ensuring all specifications are met. This job shop environment requires proficiency in lathes, drill press, micrometer, pi tape, calipers and grinding machines. Essential Job Functions: Maintain a safe and clean environmentAbility to set up and operate manual lathes, mills and other machining equipment to produce parts according to job specificationsAdjust & operate machine tools to perform precision machining operationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings & specifications to determine the equipment and materials necessary for the jobTake measurements from existing rollers and duplicate new parts while ensuring quality targetsOperate machines to grind, cut and polish materialsConduct routine maintenance on machines & troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Job Requirements: Certification in machinery or completed industry apprenticeshipLathe machining, reading blueprints experienceAbility to lift and/or 30 lbsLong periods of standingWorking Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
