We are located in Atlantic Beach, Florida and are looking for part-time applicants to grow into a full-time position.

About the Role:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Bloom Behavioral Solutions, you will provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT and provide engaging, functional interventions designed to help children increase their independence and participation in everyday activities.

You will work closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist and have opportunities to collaborate with Speech Therapists, ABA professionals, caregivers, and other members of our multidisciplinary team. Your role will directly contribute to helping our clients develop meaningful skills, increase independence, and improve their ability to participate successfully at home and in their community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions established by the supervising OT.
  • Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities based on each client's goals and plan of care.
  • Address fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, motor planning, self-care, and functional independence skills as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Observe and document client performance and progress during treatment sessions.
  • Communicate client progress, concerns, and observations with the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with Speech Therapists, ABA professionals, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team to support coordinated care.
  • Complete session notes and other required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing collaboration as appropriate.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in pediatric occupational therapy and enjoy working collaboratively to help children build meaningful functional skills. The ability to implement treatment plans effectively, engage children in therapeutic activities, observe and communicate changes in performance, and maintain accurate clinical documentation is essential to this position. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also important, as our COTAs collaborate closely with supervising Occupational Therapists and professionals from other disciplines. Candidates should be compassionate, dependable, organized, and comfortable adapting therapeutic activities to meet the individual needs and interests of each client.
