Position Summary
Machinists will operate, set-up, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprint, dimensional, and quality specifications.
Machinists will operate, set-up, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprint, dimensional, and quality specifications.
The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, understands precision measurement and comfortable working with precision measuring tools, reading blueprints, making machine adjustments, and inspecting finished parts.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines, including mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment.
- Load materials and tooling and perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and height gauges.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot basic machine or tooling issues, maintain a safe work area, and follow production and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Machinist, CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Operator, Machine Operator, or similar manufacturing role.
- Experience operating and/or setting up CNC or manual machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other precision measuring equipment.
- Basic understanding of shop math, machining terminology, and quality inspection.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC mill and/or lathe experience.
- CNC setup, tooling, offsets, and machine adjustment experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T and CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens, or Haas.
- Experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, noise, oils/coolants, and metal materials.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear
Schedule & Compensation
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opportunities
- $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type & Application Period
- Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
