Job Details:

Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and saws.
Manufacture tooling, fixtures, jigs, and adapters based on engineering drawings, sketches, or sample parts.
Modify and repair existing tooling to restore functionality or improve performance.
Hold tight tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
Select appropriate materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, plastics, etc.) based on tooling requirements.
Perform threading, boring, turning, facing, and milling operations.
Work closely with engineering and technicians to develop tooling solutions for complex repairs.
Maintain tooling records, including build documentation and revision control.
Ensure all tooling meets applicable regulatory requirements, including those set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under 14 CFR Part 145.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with shop standards.
Needs to pass a drug test.
