6a - 2p Certified Nursing Assistant "Must Be Certified"

Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Assist with documentation and charting of patient information

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
• Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
• Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism

Skills:

• Patient service: Providing excellent care and service to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Vital signs: Measuring and recording essential signs of life, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Memory care: Assisting patients with memory impairments by providing support, redirection, and engaging activities.
• Physiology knowledge: Understanding the functions and processes of the human body.
• Anatomy knowledge: Familiarity with the structure and organization of the human body.
• Ventilate: Assisting with the use of ventilators for patients who require respiratory support.
• Critical care: Providing care for patients in critical condition or intensive care units.
• Physical examinations: Assisting healthcare professionals in conducting physical assessments of patients.
• Inhale: Administering inhalation medications or treatments to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Suture: Assisting with suturing wounds under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
