Cardinal is looking for an Electrical Project Coordinator who knows the trade and knows how to keep a project moving. Bring your electrical knowledge to a role where you'll coordinate materials, support install teams, work with engineering partners, communicate with customers, and help take projects from planning to completion.

HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm. There are days where staying past 3:00pm will be required to fill the needs of the department and company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order and track materials and equipment needed for each scheduled installation.
  • Stage materials daily to ensure efficiency of our install crews allowing them to start and finish on time.
  • Field technical questions from Comfort Advisors ensuring estimates are accurate and buildable prior to a job being sold.
  • Coordinate with third-party engineering teams on projects.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely material delivery
  • Follow up on incomplete tasks and open items until every loose end is closed.
  • Complete and submit all required project paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Work closely with install teams and Managers to resolve job-site issues before they cause delays.
  • Schedule the correct install team(s) for each job based on scope, complexity, and crew skill set.
  • Communicate installation schedules, and any changes, directly with customers.
  • Pull permits and schedule required inspections for each project.
  • Close out completed projects: confirming all permits, inspections, and documentation are finalized and accurate.
  • Flag scheduling or material gaps that put daily revenue goals at risk and escalate to management promptly so they can be resolved.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer-service and communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient with general office technology and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing competing demands.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation processes and Dane County/WI permitting requirements, or the ability to learn them quickly.
  • Familiarity with electrical parts, materials, and equipment (panels, breakers, wire gauge, fixtures, etc.) sufficient to order the correct items and answer basic technical questions from the field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical certifications is a plus.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift, lower, push and pull objects of up to 50lbs unassisted.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Able to sit for extended periods at a computer to complete scheduling, permitting, and paperwork.
