Medicaid Coordinator
SNF located in Nanuet, NY
Salary: $65K to $75K range; based on experience
Qualifications:
Candidates must have prior experience in long term care as a Medicaid Coordinator
Must have nursing home experience
Must have experience in doing Medicaid applications, Medicaid recertification, Medicare part A & B Billing
Knowledge of state and federal nursing home guidelines
Knowledge of how to calculate medical billing codes
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Duties:
Assist patients with medicaid applications, recertifications and renewals.
Maintain, track, and update client records in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
Act as a liaison between clients, healthcare providers, and social services agencies to coordinate care and resolve coverage issues.
