PRN Nurse Aide *MUST BE CERTIFIED*
Job Description
Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Assist with patient mobility and transfers
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff
Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
Assist with documentation and charting of patient information
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
Skills:
Patient service: Providing excellent care and service to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Vital signs: Measuring and recording essential signs of life, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
Memory care: Assisting patients with memory impairments by providing support, redirection, and engaging activities.
