Avers Inc., a TMA Member company, is looking for a CNC Machine Operator or setup person to join our team in Schiller Park, IL. We're a growing precision manufacturing company supporting the aerospace industry with CNC turning, milling, gear cutting, gear rack cutting, OD grinding, and thread grinding. Many of our lathes run with barfeeders and robotics that automatically load and unload parts, so you'll be running modern, automated equipment. Our shop is climate-controlled and air conditioned year-round, and we're conveniently located in the NW Suburbs near O'Hare Airport.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a real, in-demand skill and grow into a career in precision manufacturing - whether you're just starting out or already have some CNC experience. The CNC Machine Operator / setup person will be responsible for in-process inspection and running small to medium batch production jobs. Strong inspection skills are a big plus, including reading micrometers, verniers, bore gages, and height gages, and using your findings to adjust machine offsets so parts run to print specifications.We offer flexible start times and shift options (Either Shift) to fit your schedule.Responsibilities:Operate CNC mills and/or lathes, including machines running barfeeder and robotic automationWork well in a team environmentLoad/unload material, indicate vises/fixtures, deburr parts, and set workholdingInspect and verify conformance to specifications; strong blueprint reading abilityChange tools in the machine and recalibrate new tooling to produce parts per printRequirements:CNC operating experience is a plus - we're willing to train the right person with a good attitudeAbility to set up fixtures, tooling, vises, and clamps (or willingness to learn)Comfortable running machines that produce complex, high-tolerance componentsFollows all safety and work rules and practicesStrong work ethic and highly motivatedMeticulous attention to detail and well organizedStrong verbal communication skills, team orientedSolid math skills, including multiplication, division, and fractionsIndependent and willing to take initiativeAble to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hoursBilingual in English and/or Spanish and Polish a plus, not requiredWhat We Offer:Safe Harbor 401(k) planFlexible start timesClimate-controlled, air-conditioned aerospace manufacturing facilityModern equipment featuring CNC barfeeder and robotic automationRoom to grow and build real, in-demand manufacturing skills
