Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program

Program Description:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program prepares students with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed to provide safe, compassionate, and respectful care to patients. Students learn basic nursing skills, personal care, infection prevention, communication, safety procedures, and other responsibilities expected of a CNA.

What Students Will Learn:
  • Patient care and personal hygiene

  • Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

  • Feeding and assisting with meals

  • Measuring and recording vital signs

  • Safe patient transfers and positioning

  • Infection control and prevention

  • CPR and basic emergency procedures, when included in the program

  • Patient rights and confidentiality

  • Communication and professional behavior

  • Dementia and elderly care

  • Proper documentation and reporting

  • Workplace safety and professionalism

Program Requirements:
  • Meet the minimum age and education requirements established by the state/program.

  • Complete the required classroom and hands-on training hours.

  • Successfully demonstrate required CNA skills.

  • Complete clinical training.

  • Meet applicable state requirements to qualify for the CNA competency examination.

Career Opportunities:

After successfully completing the program and meeting state certification requirements, graduates may pursue employment as a CNA in healthcare.
