About the Driver and Transport Assistant Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver and Transport Assistant to join our team. As a Driver and Transport Assistant, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from scheduled appointments, as well as providing support with transfers and ambulation. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Driver and Transport Assistant Responsibilities
Safely transport residents to and from scheduled appointments, including medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social events
Assist with transfers and ambulation, as needed
Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and resident medical information
Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address resident needs
Participate in in-service training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge
CNA certification is a plus, but not required
Driver and Transport Assistant Requirements
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
