Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Cherry Picker for our client. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse. Duties include loading and unloading shipments, operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pickers, performing daily equipment inspections, and maintaining accurate inventory records using the company ERP system.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Work within & according to all company safety and health guidelines.
  • Perform daily maintenance and inspection of the forklift or equipment assigned to use.
  • Carry out the required SOPs for the proper receipt, storage and issuing of materials.
  • Perform loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Move materials within the warehouse space to and from trucks and inventory locations.
  • Perform combing pallets to better utilize warehouse space.
  • Utilize and update the company’s ERP system as defined by SOPs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory quantities.
  • Follow standard pull list for production and kitting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Use effective communication skills amongst all team members.
  • Operate a reach truck and/or picker to move materials from warehouse racking to designated areas.
  • Operate a standard industrial fork truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory reconciliation daily.
  • Complete any other related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a team player and able to work well with others.
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck or picker.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Basic computer skills needed to work within company ERP system.
  • Possess basic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally & electronically.
  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence.
  • Self-driven and safety minded.
  • Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
