Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday
Shift Hours: 6:00AM-4:30PM

Pay Rate: $17.50

Job Summary
Perform product preparation, assembly and/or disassembly before testing and inspection. Operate in
accordance with systems and procedures within the group including health and safety requirements. Handle
materials and waste between processes.

Job Description
May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for High Performance Engine Assembly:
• Modify, check, and set clearances, as well as final assembly.
• Prepare Dynamometer machine for the following procedures: tuning, power rating, endurance tests, and
testing of different part combinations.
• Alter or modify design to obtain specific functional and operational performance.
May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Block & Head:
• May be assigned to perform machining operations on blocks and heads using job specific machinery, hand
& power tools, wash tanks, painting and assembly of heads.
• May be required to follow specifications and verify pictures from computer program (if applicable) for
specific job assignments.

Essential Job Duties:
• Install final product components utilizing hand and power tools.
• Ready the product ready for testing and final Quality Inspection.
• Follow all specifications from the computer and all approved Standardized Work Instructions.
• Verify all parts and check for any defects prior to sending forward in line.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Cam/Crank:
• Washing, cleaning, polishing, QC, and grinding.
• Set-up and operate complex machines and perform various machining operations on a variety of parts and
sub-assemblies, use precision measuring equipment to determine tolerances.
• May include, but are not limited, to prepping, parkerizing, cleaning, checking, inspecting, material
handling, tool changes, packing, gear pressing, repairing, gaging parts, machining, polishing, and torque
control.

May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Torque Converters:
• Work with production team in a high-speed Remanufacturing facility to repair, replace and refurbish any
needs of the Torque Converter to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded.
• Operate Mig/Tig welding processes, manual lathes and bonding processes that lead to the production of
Torque converters.
• On an assembly line; paint, package, scan and stage Torque Converts for shipment.
May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Hybrid Batteries:
• Work with specific detailed instructions, process disassembly and electrical analysis of Hybrid Electric Vehicle
(HEV) batteries.
• Follow detailed procedures, assist in HEV battery testing and discharging/charging.
• Maintain meticulous records of testing results of HEV Battery discharge/charge processes.
• Under the direction of senior personnel, use electronic diagnostic and testing equipment to analyze battery
characteristics and analyze trends.
• Stacking and organizing product.

May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Disassembly:
• May be assigned to check in cores using a computer program.
• Sort parts in preparation for cleaning.
• May be assigned to use computer to verify cores and parts.
May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for (E) Disassembly:
• Research, verify, and diagnose install and in-warranty operation and drivability issues pertaining to
driveline.
• Determine and confirm cause of failure of Recycled and Remanufactured driveline parts under LKQ or
vendor warranty.

May Perform Additional Duties as assigned for Tin Test Line:
• May be assigned to assemble, clean, check, inspect, material handling, repair, diagnose, disassemble,
gauge parts, polish, plug installation, paint, test, package, and torque control.
• May be required to follow specifications and verify pictures from computer program (if applicable) for
specific job assignments.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct or Indirect):
• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Engine/auto mechanic assembly, remanufacturing and engine testing/quality and/or electronic experience
preferred.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Includes needed certifications, systems knowledge, job skills, characteristics, competencies, etc.):
• May be required to complete Engine Assembly training boot camp.
• Required to complete all training from Standardized Work Instructions.
• Competent in following all Standard Work Instructions and can read specifications and verify pictures from
the computer program.
• May use various handheld tools, pneumatic and electric tools, hoists, precision measuring devices, pallet
jacks etc.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment (i.e., lifting demands, travel requirements, etc.):
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull,
squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Occasionally an employee may be asked
to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• The employee may be exposed to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, dust, fumes, various
chemicals, and waste products.
• Personal Protective Equipment is required including safety glasses, safety toed footwear, and hearing
protection to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment
