Job Description
Jobs in this family provide hands-on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
Typical functions:
The functions within this job family will vary by level, but may include the following:
- Develop and/or implement treatment plans.
- Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
- Assist and/or provide basic health care for clients, such as checking vital signs and height/weight.
Support Care position is accountable for assisting residents with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, meal preparation, transporting, and other related tasks.
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency, and 0-1 years of experience, may require Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation or Direct Care Training as required by the hiring agency.
