Work Schedule: Full-Time, 100% Onsite
Compensation: $30–$38/hr

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Programmer/Set-Up to join their manufacturing team in Henrico, VA. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision aluminum and steel components while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming experience, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the technical expertise to optimize machining processes and support efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to manufacture aluminum and steel components with close tolerances and complex specifications.
Create and modify machine programs to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Calculate and establish machining parameters, including speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depths, and cutting angles.
Maintain and edit CNC programs to fine-tune production processes and improve quality and throughput.
Select, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, attachments, and materials for machining operations.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate production.
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues and implement corrective actions.
Accurately record production and job transactions.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to company quality and safety standards.

Qualifications
Associate degree, technical certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5+ years of CNC programming and machine set-up experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience programming and operating CNC equipment producing precision machined components.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and complex manufacturing instructions.
Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to perform advanced calculations related to machining operations.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to resolve manufacturing issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with production teams and management.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience machining aluminum and steel products with complex geometries and finish requirements.
Experience optimizing CNC programs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of precision manufacturing environments and close-tolerance machining.
