Welder
Job Description
The Welder is primarily responsible for reading, interpreting and executing routing, e-drawings, blueprint
weld procedures, and process control/quality documents to TIG and MIG weld mild steel, stainless steel
and aluminum per job specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
%CF; Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders and record times and materials.
%CF; Read and interpret blueprints.
%CF; Source the materials used in projects.
%CF; Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
%CF; Review finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
%CF; Maintain knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG.
%CF; Perform other general sheet metal operations when needed, including drill and tap, hardware
installation, parts separation and extrusion.
%CF; Review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements of parts and assemblies to the
requirements of the prints and quality standards.
%CF; Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure adherence to all routing specifications and high quality.
%CF; Collaborate with employees, operations, engineering and sales team to solve problems and
recommend plans of improvement.
%CF; Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
%CF; Operate forklift and hand truck as needed.
%CF; Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols for welding, grinding and all related
production.
%CF; Utilize fixtures and necessary tools to successfully complete weldments.
%CF; Utilize inspection tools to measure parts to customer specifications.
%CF; Follow standard AWS welding safety procedures.
%CF; Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry.
%CF; Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
%CF; Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required.
%CF; Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
