Job Description

Staff Global Supply Manager — Buy the Materials That Build the Energy Transition

McCarran, NV | Full-Time | $125,000 – $160,000

The Opportunity

Behind every fast-rising factory is a supply chain professional who made a thousand smart buying decisions. Our client, a rapidly scaling clean energy innovator, is hiring a Staff Global Supply Manager to own purchasing of services, consumables, and specialty materials across CAPEX, construction, and indirects. This is a strategy-and-execution role: you'll set global sourcing strategies, negotiate the deals, and be the procurement voice senior leadership turns to on risk and resiliency.

Why You'll Love It

  • Strategic scope, real authority: Own global supply strategies, network design, and the purchasing decisions behind major capital projects
  • Executive visibility: Thought partner to senior leadership, not a back-office buyer
  • High-growth environment: Fast decisions, big spend, measurable impact
  • Nevada advantage: No state income tax, Reno-Tahoe living

What You'll Do

  • Lead purchasing of services, consumables, and specialty materials for capital projects and operating facilities
  • Develop procurement strategies, tactical plans, and operational workflows; manage PRs and POs in policy compliance
  • Own global supply chain strategies aligned to growth, cost, and sustainability goals
  • Lead network design — supplier selection, logistics optimization, inventory positioning across regions
  • Define and track KPIs: on-time delivery, cost per unit, inventory turns, supplier quality
  • Run contract negotiations, RFPs, change orders, bidder's lists, and bid leveling
  • Build supplier relationships that deliver performance, reliability, and long-term value
  • Analyze costs, forecasts, and spend; build Excel models and procurement reports for project leadership
  • Partner with engineering, finance, operations, and PM teams on integrated procurement strategies
  • Travel to project sites, supplier visits, and key negotiations as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
  • 7+ years in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, or construction-related roles
  • Sourcing experience with services, consumables, and/or commodities in project-based or capital-intensive environments
  • Strong analytical chops and Excel modeling skill
  • Proven negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration ability
  • Comfort managing multiple concurrent workstreams at speed
  • Preferred: EPC/capital projects/manufacturing background, ERP or procurement platforms (SAP, Coupa, Oracle), sustainability-driven sourcing exposure, APICS CSCP/CPIM certification
