Advanced Production Machine Technician

Compensation- $22.72–$23.29 per hour
- 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- 2-2-3 rotation
As night falls in Covington, you’ll take ownership of high-speed production equipment, keeping output on target and quality tight. You’ll start your shift with pre-checks, then run your line to meet or exceed benchmarks for waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization. When something drifts out of spec, you’ll troubleshoot quickly—tuning, aligning, and adjusting machine components to restore optimal performance.
You’ll mentor newer teammates, share best practices, and keep accurate end-of-shift records that capture crew time, machine runtime, and quantities produced. Throughout the night, you’ll stay vigilant—spotting defects, dialing in corrections, and upholding housekeeping, standard work, and safety protocols.
What You’ll Do- Operate production machinery safely and consistently at or above standard performance levels
- Diagnose issues and make precise mechanical adjustments to resolve them
- Recommend and implement practical improvements to stabilize throughput and quality
- Support and guide less experienced operators on the line
- Complete shift documentation for labor, equipment time, and output
- Inspect product, identify nonconformances, and correct root causes via machine settings
- Follow all safety, housekeeping, and standard work requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience with production equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain performance standards for waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization
- Stand and walk for extended periods; frequent use of hands and arms
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and stair climbing
- Frequent bending at the waist/hips
- Regular lifting up to 10 lbs, frequent lifting up to 15 lbs, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent reaching away from the body and occasional overhead reaching
- Maintain pace with a moving conveyor line
- Work in varied temperatures
- 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed
- Equipment troubleshooting
- CNC machine setup and changeovers
- Setting up machines for production runs
- Experienced machine operation
