Job Description
Join Our Mission: Support Families on Their Path to Recovery as a Family Engagement Coordinator!
Are you passionate about supporting families, removing barriers, and helping parents succeed in their recovery journey? At Community-Minded Enterprises (CME), we believe families should have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
As a Family Engagement Coordinator, you’ll support the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), which connects parents participating in outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring treatment in Spokane County with high-quality child care and out-of-school-time programs at no cost while they participate in treatment activities.
In this role, you’ll work directly with parents to develop child care plans, connect families with community resources, and build relationships with child care providers and treatment partners. Your work will help create consistency and stability for children while reducing child care barriers so parents can focus on their treatment and recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide ongoing coaching and support to help parents successfully maintain their child care arrangements.
- Recruit and engage qualifying families for the CCAP program.
- Recruit and build relationships with licensed child care providers participating in CCAP.
- Collaborate with treatment agencies and community partners throughout Spokane County.
- Help families identify and navigate community resources based on their individual needs.
- Facilitate Parent Trust peer support groups and Play and Learn groups.
- Work collaboratively with CME's Early Learning, Family Services, and Recovery and Behavioral Health Services teams to coordinate services for families.
- Maintain accurate program documentation and data, including attendance, intake forms, surveys, participant feedback, and Reliatrax records.
- Compile required monthly and annual program reports.
- Support responsible use of program funding and completion of contract requirements and deliverables.
- Participate in occasional evening and weekend activities based on program needs.
