Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing, mental state, and overall well-being
- Follow care plans accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Document any changes in condition meticulously for accurate record-keeping
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, taking care of a relative or loved one.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and teams
- Demonstrated reliability with a compassionate approach to caregiving and patient support
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment location
