About the Job

Position: Licensed CPA - Tax Accountant

Job Summary

The client is seeking a motivated and experienced Licensed CPA to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong tax preparation experience who enjoys working directly with clients in a professional office environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning support, assisting with bookkeeping and accounting services, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns

  • Meet with clients to discuss tax matters and financial information

  • Provide tax planning and consulting support

  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting needs

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

  • Research and apply current tax laws and regulations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements

  • Deliver exceptional client service and professional guidance

  • Collaborate with team members to support client needs and firm objectives

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines during peak tax seasons

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required

  • Experience preparing:

    • Individual Tax Returns

    • Corporate Tax Returns

    • Partnership Tax Returns

    • Fiduciary Tax Returns

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks

  • Experience with UltraTax Software preferred

  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles

  • Excellent client-facing and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
