The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate shipment of medical technology products, while supporting light assembly work and maintaining smooth logistics operations. This position is on the 1st shift from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and involves working with major shipping carriers, ERP and SAP systems, and basic office software in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and ship products using major carriers such as FedEx and UPS, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and on-time dispatch.
- Read, interpret, and verify shipping documentation to confirm order details, quantities, and destination information.
- Personally complete drop-offs at FedEx as needed to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements.
- Assist with small part assembly for continuous, wearable remote patient monitoring devices and related digital health solutions.
- Use ERP systems, including SAP, to enter, track, and update shipment information and inventory movements.
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure efficient handling of medical technology products and related materials.
- Occasionally operate a forklift to move, load, or unload materials and products in a safe and organized manner.
- Work with various shipping companies to compare options, schedule pickups, and resolve shipping or delivery issues.
- Handle packages and materials safely, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as required.
- Use Microsoft Office and other basic computer tools to manage shipping records, reports, and communication.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth flow of materials and finished goods through the facility.
- Follow all company procedures and quality standards related to shipping, receiving, and product handling.
Essential Skills
- Proven shipping experience, including hands-on work with carriers such as FedEx and UPS.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately process shipping documentation.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably including SAP.
- Comfort working with various shipping companies and coordinating logistics activities.
- Ability to lift and safely handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using computers, software applications, and digital tools.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
- Willingness to assist with small part assembly in a production environment.
- Ability to occasionally operate a forklift or willingness to learn with proper training.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in shipping, labeling, and record-keeping.

- Experience working in a medical device, healthcare, or technology-related logistics environment.
- Familiarity with logistics processes for clinical-grade digital health solutions or similar products.
- Comfort working in a small company setting and contributing across multiple operational tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.

Occasional forklift operation and regular interaction with shipping carriers are part of the daily workflow, all within a professional facility focused on medical technology and digital health solutions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westlake, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
