Job Description
Step into an exciting opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with a diverse K-12 caseload in a collaborative school environment. This contract role offers a dynamic way to impact student success through individualized care and innovative speech therapy practices. The position spans the full school year, from August 31, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. Part-time candidates who meet the requirements are also welcome to be considered.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school
- Willing to work onsite only; virtual or remote arrangements are not available
- SLP Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) are not eligible for this role
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for student advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to K-12 students, developing and implementing IEPs as needed
- Conduct assessments, analyze results, and create effective therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and document all services in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities throughout the academic year
