Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and school schedules
• Organizational abilities to efficiently document progress and maintain records

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
• Develop targeted intervention plans tailored to each child’s educational needs
• Deliver direct and consultative therapies in individual or small group settings
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to support students’ goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
• Educate school staff on strategies for classroom adaptations and modifications
