Flux Core Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Core Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabricating custom parts, primarily pressure vessels used in shipyards or the boating industry. The role requires working with blueprints, Mig and Flux Core welding techniques, and involves preparing and cutting parts and metals. Candidates must pass a weld test, as precision is crucial and spot welding experience is not applicable.
Responsibilities- Weld and fabricate custom parts using Mig and Flux Core techniques.
- Interpret and work with blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform necessary prep work, including cutting parts and metals.
- Ensure all welds are leak-proof and meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in a small machine shop environment.
- 1-3 years of welding experience with Flux Core.
- 1-2 years of experience working with blueprints.
- Proficiency in Mig welding techniques.
- Experience with jig work is a plus.
- Experience in cutting parts and metals is a major advantage.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a small machine shop environment with a focus on teamwork and efficiency. The role operates on the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with mandatory overtime on Fridays when available. Safety is a priority, requiring steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
