Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials for Illinois (PEL with LBS1 endorsement or equivalent)
• Experience working with K-4th grade students and a range of learning needs
• Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, general education staff, and other support providers
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learners’ needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in a supportive, encouraging classroom environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Lead small group and 1:1 interventions aligned with student goals
• Manage classroom behavior while fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere
• Maintain detailed student records and progress reports
• Coordinate with related service providers and participate in IEP meetings
