LHH is partnering with a well-established and growing consumer products company to identify an Accounts Receivable Specialist for their finance team. LHH is partnering with a large organization that is looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp to hire position. This position is ideal for an experienced accounts receivable professional who enjoys managing complex customer accounts, resolving deductions, and working in a high-volume environment. The role offers visibility across multiple departments and the opportunity to work with nationally recognized retail customers.

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for overseeing customer account activity, applying payments, investigating discrepancies, and driving resolution of deductions and chargebacks. The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a large volume of transactions while maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities for assigned customer portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate cash application.

• Review aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to support collection efforts.

• Investigate and resolve customer deductions, chargebacks, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and promotional claims.

• Utilize customer portals to access remittance information, submit supporting documentation, dispute deductions, and monitor claim activity.

• Reconcile customer accounts and research billing issues to ensure account accuracy.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Accounting teams to resolve payment and deduction-related concerns.

• Maintain thorough documentation of collection efforts, dispute resolutions, and account activity.

• Support month-end close activities and assist with reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a high-volume environment.

• Experience managing large customer accounts and deduction-heavy portfolios.

• Prior exposure to retail, consumer products, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries is highly preferred.

• Experience working within customer/vendor portals for large retail accounts is strongly desired.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
