We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Cycle Manager to lead our revenue cycle operations, optimize financial performance, and support continued organizational growth.

Position Summary
The Senior Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Revenue Cycle Department, including patient financial services, insurance billing, coding support, payment posting, accounts receivable management, denial resolution, and revenue optimization. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency and maximize reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the revenue cycle from patient registration through final payment.
- Lead and develop Revenue Cycle staff through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Monitor key performance indicators including:
- Days in Accounts Receivable
- Clean Claim Rate
- First Pass Resolution Rate
- Denial Rate
- Net Collection Rate
- Patient Collections
- Aging Accounts
- Develop action plans to reduce denials and improve cash flow.
- Analyze payer trends and implement strategies to maximize reimbursement.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and executive leadership to improve documentation and billing accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial payer, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee payer audits, appeals, contract implementation, and reimbursement analysis.
- Lead revenue cycle projects including workflow improvements, automation, and system optimization.
- Prepare monthly financial and operational reports for leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient financial experience while maintaining strong collection performance.
- Support implementation and optimization of Epic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive Revenue Cycle leadership experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing revenue cycle teams.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Medical billing and coding
- Accounts receivable management
- Denial management
- Provider credentialing
- Insurance reimbursement methodologies
- Revenue cycle analytics
- Experience with Epic, NextGen, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or comparable Practice Management/EHR systems.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
- Neurology or specialty practice experience preferred.
- Multi-specialty physician practice experience.
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives.
