Family Service & Children's Aid is hiring a Parent and Child Engagement Specialist:
Enjoy working with children and parents? Want to help support parents whose children are in the foster care system have successful supervised visits? Enjoy planning enrichment activities with young children? Want to help foster parents with providing transportation of youth to the visit with their birth families? FSCA is recruiting a Parent and Child Engagement Specialist to help support families during supervised visitations with their children and provide childcare while parents are on-site receiving substance use services. As a Parent and Child Engagement Specialist at Family Service & Children’s Aid, you will provide supportive services such as transportation (using company vehicle) and visitation supervision for clients of Child Welfare Programs (foster care and adoption). Assist birth families during visitation, provide parenting support, and complete documentation.
This position plays a key role in assisting families in re-engaging when separation has disrupted family dynamics. This position also supports the Behavioral Health’s Parenting Focused Substance Use Program by providing childcare services to children of clients while they are in session. This position is responsible for facilitating a structured play/educational environment and will communicate with parents on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Undergo Criminal background check and central registry clearance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation along with proof of car insurance policy.
- Ability to lift sixty pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, childcare experience, or working with families.
- Active First Aid training, or willingness to obtain.
- Flexibility as schedule does require evening hours for visits, if necessary
