About Us
The Junk Wizards is a growing junk removal company serving Thousand Oaks and the surrounding Conejo Valley — Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Camarillo, and Simi Valley. We're built on showing up on time, working hard, and treating every customer's property with respect. We're looking for a reliable driver to join the crew.
What You'll Do
- Drive the company truck to residential and commercial job sites throughout Thousand Oaks and the surrounding area
- Load, haul, and unload junk — furniture, appliances, construction debris, yard waste, and household clutter
- Sort items for donation, recycling, and disposal
- Communicate clearly with customers about pricing, timing, and what we can and can't take
- Keep the truck and equipment clean and in good working order
What We're Looking For
- Clean driver's license — a valid California license with a clean driving record is required
- Lifting ability up to 75 lbs — repeatedly, throughout the day, sometimes up and down stairs
- A 15-minutes-early mindset — you show up 15 minutes before the start of the day and 15 minutes before every job. On time is late. This is one of the biggest factors in your pay rate.
- Good communication — friendly and professional with customers, clear and responsive with your crew and dispatch
- Junk removal experience is a plus — not required, but it will move you up the pay scale
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, on your feet all day
- Local to the Thousand Oaks / Conejo Valley area preferred
Pay & Schedule
$20–$25 per hour, based on your abilities and your punctuality. Prove you're dependable and can handle the work and you'll move toward the top of that range quickly.
