Job Code: 82940578 The Digital Drilling Analyst role is aligned to the Drilling Hub mission of driving the growth of drilling excellence across D&I for our customers. The Digital Drilling Analyst is responsible for the implementation of the service, deliverables, and customer support of Digital Drilling Products and Services. The Analyst provides support to end users to achieve the defined deliverables as per the scope of work of each project between Digital Operations Solutions GeoUnit (DOS GU) and the client. The employee is expected to give onsite and/or remote technical, drilling product, and application support to the customer in accordance with Schlumberger best practices. * Responsible for creating reference documents as per projectâ€TMs scope of work and ensuring all onboarding checklist/gates are fulfilled before the start of the operation.* Deliver the project by; executing automated data loading procedures, computation of Rig states / Drill states and all relevant well construction KPIs, checking results of the computations and configuring computation parameters, configuring new drilling KPI on demand in accordance with the agreed scope.* Execute drilling performance analysis of wells in drilling and offset wells analysis, identify improvement potential, make recommendations, provide final reporting and presentations for each customer project.* Assist DOS Portfolio in maximizing user adoption, solution utilization and system/solution availability with minimal interruption.* Remain current on new technologies and participate in testing and acceptance of digital technology workflows and features.* Collect and manage end-user requirements for software and services, identify main features required for drilling performance analysis and reporting, workflow description, usability recommendations; acquire consultation from drilling domain perspectives.* Act as first point of contact for incident escalation, resolution, and investigation to ensure a process of continuous improvement.* Participate in service quality meetings and investigations when required.* Develop demo workflows, presentations, and other supporting technical materials; perform demonstration to internal and external customers in pilot/proof of concept engagement.* Conduct solution training for drilling engineers (internal/external) and give input in keeping solution training materials up to date.* Work collaboratively with other Divisions, BLs and within DOS GU partners in maximizing the value of SLB service and technology solutions.* Engage actively in knowledge sharing to share best practices, lessons learned, and technical knowledge within SLB technical community.
Position Overview
The Digital Drilling Analyst is a field-based drilling technology and operations support role responsible for deploying, supporting, training, and optimizing digital drilling solutions at customer rig sites. The position serves as the primary field-facing resource for Digital Drilling products, supporting both onshore and offshore drilling operations while working directly with rig crews, drilling personnel, and clients.
Hiring Timeline
- Urgent need due to upcoming resource replacement.
- Target hire/start: End of September.

- Offshore locations generally provide accommodations and meals.
- Many land rigs also provide catering and lodging.
- When lodging and meals are not provided, workers may expense hotel accommodations and meals/food expenses.
Key Responsibilities
Field Deployment & Support
- Manage drilling technology hardware installations.
- Configure users, permissions, and workstations.
- Serve as the primary field contact for digital drilling solutions.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and process issues.
- Manage software updates and IT infrastructure at rig sites.
Customer Support & Training
- Provide onsite training and coaching to rig personnel.
- Support customer adoption and utilization of digital drilling solutions.
- Conduct solution training for internal and external drilling personnel.
- Assist customers with technical and application support.
Drilling Operations Support
- Configure drilling automation settings.
- Support drilling programs and well planning activities.
- Monitor and optimize drilling automation parameters.
- Work closely with drillers, directional drilling personnel, well engineers, and customers.
- Generate daily, section, and performance reports.
Performance Analysis
- Analyze drilling performance and KPIs.
- Conduct well and offset well analysis.
- Identify operational improvements and value creation opportunities.
- Deliver reports, presentations, and recommendations to customers.
Incident & Escalation Management
- Act as first point of contact for incident escalation.
- Support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Capture software enhancement requests and operational feedback.
Required Experience
Minimum Experience
- 5+ years of drilling and/or downhole experience required.
- Experience in drilling rig environments is essential.
Preferred Backgrounds
Strong preference for candidates with experience as:
- Directional Driller (DD)
- Measurement While Drilling (MWD) Engineer
- Well Engineer
- Drilling-focused field personnel
- Rig Engineer
- ACE Engineer (GSS/D&M)

Work Environment

- Approximately 50% onshore / 50% offshore exposure depending on operational needs.
- Office attendance only occasionally for training courses or meetings.
Rotation Schedule
Schedule varies based on operational requirements and well activities.
Examples include:
- 2 weeks on / 1 week off
- 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- 3 weeks on / 10 days off
- Equal time rotations at times
No fixed rotation exists. Actual schedule is driven by drilling operations.
