The Independent HVAC Technician (1099 Contractor) is a solo contractor responsible for providing repair and maintenance services for both residential and commercial HVAC systems within the local area. Utilizing their own tools and vehicle, this role requires strong technical skills, effective time management, and excellent customer interaction to deliver reliable solutions on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC repair and maintenance for residential and commercial clients
- Prepare accurate service estimates
- Manage job scheduling and timelines independently
- Utilize and maintain personal tools effectively
- Interact professionally with customers to assess needs and provide solutions
- Travel locally to project sites using personal vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in handyman or HVAC services
- Valid driver’s license for local travel
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
