Job Description
As a Welder Helper, you will provide hands-on support to welders and other skilled trades employees throughout the facility. You will assist with material handling, power tools, equipment, and a variety of tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and productivity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and wants to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, and other trades employees as directed
  • Assist with cleaning, machinery operation, welding, plumbing and pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, electrical work, and other departmental tasks as needed
  • Handle and move materials throughout the work area
  • Safely use power tools and other equipment
  • Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and policies
  • Maintain a safe and productive work area
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to read and speak either English or Spanish
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work in varying hot and cold conditions
  • Ability to work in an environment where noise levels may be at or above 90 decibels
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
