Job Description
The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that manufactured products meet rigorous quality standards. In this position, you will be trained to perform a variety of mechanical and electrical tests, support quality control and quality assurance activities, and use precision measurement tools and blueprints to verify product conformance in a modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical deformation testing, tensile testing, compression testing, and resistance testing on manufactured products after training.
- Conduct quality inspections on materials and finished goods in a manufacturing environment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and standard specifications to verify that products meet required dimensions and tolerances.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure and document product characteristics.
- Apply ISO 9001 quality standards and procedures during inspection and testing activities.
- Collect, compile, and maintain accurate quality data and inspection records for reporting and analysis.
- Utilize an ERP system (with NetSuite preferred) to enter, track, and review quality-related information.
- Identify nonconforming products and communicate findings to appropriate personnel in a clear and timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on recurring quality issues and potential process enhancements.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while working in the facility and during testing activities.
- Work assigned shifts and remain flexible to perform overtime as needed, including some Saturdays, to support production and quality demands.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma.
- At least 1 year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and standard specifications.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and their application in quality control and quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection processes and quality control practices.
- Proficiency using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to collect, compile, and organize quality data accurately.
- Experience working with an ERP system in a manufacturing or quality setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Prior experience performing tensile testing, compression testing, and resistance testing is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with mechanical deformation testing methods is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles.
- Ability to learn new testing procedures and equipment quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inspection tasks.
- Effective communication skills to report findings and collaborate with production and engineering teams.

Work Environment
This position is based in a very clean and modern manufacturing facility focused on producing advanced power transmission products. Available schedules include a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with third shift employees training on first shift for approximately two weeks. The role requires flexibility to work 1–2 hours of overtime per day and some Saturdays to meet production and quality demands. You will work with precision measurement tools, mechanical testing equipment, and ERP systems in a structured, safety-conscious environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
