Join our dynamic machine shop team to fabricate various parts for pressure vessel manufacturing. Utilize a plasma burn table and rolling equipment, while also maintaining the cleanliness of the shop and performing preventative maintenance on the equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage a plasma burn table and rolling equipment.
  • Fabricate parts for pressure vessel manufacturing.
  • Clean the shop of metal shavings.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Check tolerances using calipers and micrometers.
  • Utilize computer programs to transfer engineering diagrams to equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in operating or machining.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.
  • Ability to check tolerances with micrometers and calipers.
  • Experience with manual and CNC machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with plasma tables and rolling equipment.
  • Familiarity with grinding equipment.
  • Understanding of computer-aided engineering diagrams.

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled metal fabrication shop. Employees work 50 hours per week during peak seasons, with training hours from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 6 am to 3:30 pm. Regular work hours are Monday to Thursday, 5:30 pm to 6 am, and Friday, 4:30 pm to 11:30 pm. There may be occasional Saturday shifts. Flexibility for family schedules is provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
