Job Description
This role focuses on high-volume production welding in a bench position, performing repetitive MIG welds throughout the day. You will work in a team-oriented production shop, contributing to consistent, high-quality welded components that support major agricultural equipment manufacturers.
Responsibilities- Perform MIG welding in a bench position for the full shift, focusing on consistent, repeatable welds.
- Execute production welding using .035 and .045 MIG wire on a variety of parts and assemblies.
- Follow established weld procedures and quality standards to ensure uniform, reliable welds on every piece.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume production environment, meeting daily output and quality targets.
- Inspect welds visually and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure orders are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
- Use welding equipment and tools safely, following all shop safety guidelines and best practices.
- Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job MIG welding experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding using .035 and .045 wire.
- Ability to perform repetitive production welds with consistent quality.
- Comfort working in a bench welding position for extended periods.
- Capability to work effectively in a team-based production environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established welding procedures and specifications.
- Welding diploma is a plus but not required.
- No GED or high school equivalency diploma required.
- Prior experience in a production welding shop is beneficial.
- Familiarity with agricultural or industrial equipment components is an advantage.

Work EnvironmentThis is a first-shift position, working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in a production welding shop. All work is performed in a bench position using MIG welding equipment with .035 and .045 wire. The team-oriented environment encourages cooperation and mutual support to meet production targets. The facility supplies welded products to large agricultural companies, and the workday is structured around consistent, repetitive welding tasks in a shop setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
