QC Analyst
Job Description
The QC Analyst supports both Quality Control and Feed Analysis laboratory operations by performing analytical testing, sample preparation, and documentation to ensure product quality and accurate customer feed analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career scientists to gain hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, chromatography, GMP documentation, and quality control testing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing on products, raw materials, and feed samples following approved procedures.
- Conduct wet chemistry and analytical testing, including TLC, loss-on-drying, UV-Vis, and chromatography-based methods.
- Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and solutions for testing.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and other analytical equipment.
- Accurately document and report test results in accordance with GMP and GDP requirements.
- Receive, log, prepare, and track feed samples to ensure proper identification and traceability.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces according to laboratory standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory and quality teams to support testing priorities and schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Laboratory experience through internships, co-ops, undergraduate research, academic coursework, or industry experience.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing, sample preparation, and scientific documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Effective organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with HPLC, chromatography, UV-Vis spectroscopy, wet chemistry, or related analytical techniques.
- Experience in a GMP, GLP, food, feed, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated laboratory environment.
- Undergraduate research or internship experience involving analytical instrumentation.
- Experience managing multiple samples or testing priorities in a laboratory setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
