Job Description
The Entry-Level Industrial Painter supports the production team by preparing materials and applying coatings and paint finishes to metal components such as rails, handrails, door handles, and other manufactured parts. This role focuses on accurate paint application using rollers, brushes, and other hand methods while maintaining quality standards, meeting production goals, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Apply paint and coatings to metal components using rollers, brushes, and other hand application methods.
- Paint rails, handrails, door handles, and other manufactured parts according to production requirements and specifications.
- Prepare materials and work areas before painting, including cleaning, masking, and organizing parts.
- Follow paint mixing and application instructions as directed to achieve proper coverage and finish.
- Inspect painted surfaces to ensure quality standards are met and finishes are consistent.
- Perform touch-up work on painted surfaces as needed to correct defects or incomplete coverage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Safely handle paint, coatings, solvents, and related materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow all company safety procedures and correctly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Meet production schedules and daily work goals while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Assist with general production tasks as needed to support overall workflow.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about progress, issues, and needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of painting experience in any industry.
- Ability to perform labor-intensive work and remain on feet for the entire shift.
- Comfortable using hand tools in an industrial or production setting.
- Basic painting skills using rollers, brushes, and other hand application methods.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for paint mixing and application.
- Attention to detail when inspecting and finishing painted surfaces.
- Ability to work safely with paints, coatings, and related materials in an industrial environment.
- Strong work ethic with reliability in meeting production schedules and daily goals.
- Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members.
- Experience in industrial painting or production environments is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to assist with general production tasks beyond painting duties.
- Comfort working in loud, hot environments with paint odors.
- Adaptability to changing production priorities and tasks.

Work EnvironmentThis is a contract role for approximately 3 months, working Monday through Friday on first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position is based in an industrial production facility that is loud, hot, and has noticeable paint odors. You will be on your feet all day and regularly handle paints, coatings, and related materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment is provided and required, and you will work around industrial equipment and hand tools in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Valley Center, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
