Deburring Technician
Job Description
The Deburring Technician blends mismatches, removes burrs, and breaks edges on precision parts to meet strict customer specifications. This role uses a variety of deburring tools and follows defined standards to ensure high-quality finishes in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Blend mismatches, remove burrs, and perform edge breaks on parts to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret and follow customer requirements, including standards such as BAC 5300 and BAC 5730, with minimal supervision.
- Operate deburring tools such as deburr guns, pencil grinders, and other hand tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect work visually and by feel to ensure smooth finishes and compliance with specification requirements.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks within required timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment properly.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about work progress, issues, and quality concerns.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance, arriving on time for the start of the shift and adhering to work schedules.
- Apply strong attention to detail to identify and correct defects or imperfections in parts.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a large manufacturing facility.
- Experience using deburring tools such as deburr guns and pencil grinders in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in deburring, grinding, and using hand tools to finish parts.
- Ability to understand and meet customer requirements, including standards such as BAC 5300 and BAC 5730, with minimal supervision.
- Basic Microsoft Office experience for reading instructions, documentation, and recording information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity.
- Positive attitude toward work and reliable, on-time attendance.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace-related environment.
- Familiarity with finishing processes on components such as engine pylons, struts, wing boxes, wings, wheel wells, and interior structures.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a production team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving customer specifications and internal procedures.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large manufacturing facility that produces components such as engine pylons, struts, wing boxes, wings, wheel wells, and interior structures. The environment involves working around production equipment, hand tools, and powered deburring tools such as deburr guns and pencil grinders. Employees work on-site in a hands-on setting, following safety procedures and production guidelines typical of a high-precision manufacturing operation.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
