As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by reading, interpreting, and following Manufacturing and Inspection Procedures (MIPs) and work orders. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that products are prepared, inspected, and meet all required specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and follow Manufacturing and Inspection Procedures (MIPs) and work orders.
  • Prepare mold or tool surfaces properly with release film, wax, and other part release products.
  • Use pre-preg lamination techniques to cut cloth and lay up products of varying tolerances.
  • Prepare products for vacuum bagging (pre-preg) and apply, store, and dispose of composite materials, adhesives, sealants, resins, and solvents per OSHA regulations.
  • Support and exhibit a focus on zero defects and a 'right-the-first-time' approach.
  • Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately.
  • Inspect laminate surfaces for defects, imperfections, foreign material (FOD) or other non-conformance, and correct as necessary.
  • Comply with established safety directives.
  • Sand and trim composite materials (fiberglass, carbon, Kevlar) to proper dimensions based on MIPs, work orders, and drawings.
  • Use basic math to calculate, weigh, mix, and catalyze resin.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs safely and efficiently.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in inspection, hand tool operation, and assembly.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with packaging procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in composite material handling.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
