Job Description

Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Job Description

The Quality Supervisor is a highly visible, hands-on leader on the production floor, responsible for ensuring food safety and product quality in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role works side-by-side with production teams, driving quality standards in real time, quickly addressing issues as they arise, and maintaining an audit-ready operation at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of time on the production floor monitoring processes, product quality, and food safety practices.
  • Partner directly with operators and production supervisors to ensure quality standards are followed during production runs, not just after completion.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues in real time to minimize downtime, waste, and product nonconformance.
  • Lead root cause investigations on the production floor and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and food safety standards through routine line checks and walkthroughs.
  • Support internal and external audits and inspections by ensuring the production floor remains consistently audit-ready.
  • Train and coach production employees on quality expectations, procedures, and best practices to build a strong quality culture.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and product traceability directly tied to production activities and quality checks.
  • Communicate quality concerns quickly and clearly across Production, Maintenance, and leadership to drive timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting audits and inspections in a food manufacturing or food and beverage facility.
  • Experience in quality management and production management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to train and coach employees on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Maintenance, and leadership teams.

Why Work Here?

You will join a dynamic, fast-paced food production environment where quality and food safety are core values, not just requirements. The organization promotes a hands-on, collaborative culture in which operations and quality work closely together to solve problems in real time and continuously improve processes. You will have the opportunity to make a visible impact on product quality and safety, develop your leadership skills, and grow within a team-oriented environment that values clear communication, accountability, and ongoing learning.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced, high-volume food and beverage production facility with a climate-controlled environment. It is a hands-on leadership position that requires constant engagement with operations on the production floor rather than working primarily in a lab. The schedule is Monday through Thursday. You will work closely with production teams in a team-oriented setting where safety, cleanliness, and adherence to GMP and food safety standards are consistently maintained.
