Job Title: Field Service Laborer

Pay: $19/hour + per diem and loding

Shift: Currently working day shift 7AM to whenever the job is done. Averaging 55+ hours per week.

Job Description

The Field Service Technician installs, inspects, and repairs oil containment liner systems at customer sites while traveling full-time. This role requires strong hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while following health and safety standards and documented installation guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project drawings to supervise and perform the installation of oil containment liners and related accessories.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, including hammers, tape measures, utility knives, framing squares, hand rollers, heat guns, and edging tools, to complete installation tasks.
  • Work with materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer to fabricate and install liner systems.
  • Complete inspections of installed systems to verify quality and compliance with installation guidelines.
  • Conduct repairs on liner systems and accessories as needed to maintain performance and safety.
  • Communicate project progress, site conditions, equipment issues, and other field updates to the Site Services Coordinator in a clear and timely manner.
  • Enforce compliance with written installation guidelines and ensure work meets documented standards.
  • Submit timesheets, expense reports, and site installation reports accurately and on time.
  • Follow all health and safety standards and diligently apply safe work practices at all times.
  • Travel to various sites and remain on location as required to complete installations and service work.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet project schedules and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proven ability to work hard, take initiative, and perform reliably in a field-based role.
  • Strong hand dexterity and manual skills suitable for precise installation and assembly work.
  • High attention to detail and a strong eye for quality in all aspects of installation and repair.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills to report progress, issues, and site conditions effectively.
  • Solid organizational skills to manage tasks, documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Background in construction, preferably with experience in flat roofing liner installation or HVAC.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial construction techniques, including plumbing.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude for assembly, troubleshooting, and service work.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and stay overnight away from home 100% of the time.
  • Capability to work overtime as required

Work Environment

This position is fully field-based and requires travel 100% of the time to a variety of job sites. You work primarily outdoors or in active construction environments, handling materials such as vinyl, foam, aluminum, steel, and polymer.

This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
