Job Description

The Warehouse Worker operates in a manufacturing environment and is responsible for accurately pulling orders, handling materials, and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and prepare customer orders accurately from inventory according to pick lists and work orders.
  • Perform picking, packing, and labeling of products to meet shipping and production requirements.
  • Handle materials safely, including loading, unloading, and moving items within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
  • Maintain organized inventory locations and assist with regular inventory counts and stock checks.
  • Support general labor tasks such as cleaning work areas, disposing of packaging materials, and keeping aisles clear.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures and work instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect products and materials for visible damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet daily production and shipping targets.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with order picking and pulling orders from inventory.
  • Ability to perform packing and basic shipping preparation tasks.
  • Material handling skills, including moving, lifting, and organizing products.
  • Capability to perform general labor duties in a fast-paced setting.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory support or stock control.
  • Comfort working in a physically active role that involves standing, lifting, and moving materials.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with warehouse and production staff.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse workflow and organization.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing warehouse setting that involves working around inventory racks, production areas, and shipping stations. The position is physically active, requiring regular standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. You will work with standard warehouse equipment and supplies, such as pallets, boxes, and packaging materials, and follow established safety and operational procedures to maintain an orderly and efficient workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
