Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to set up, program and operate CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining equipment for composite tooling and aerospace-related components.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis machining applications.
- Operate CNC routers and Haas machines to machine composite materials and tooling components with high precision.
- Perform fixture alignment, tool touch-offs, machine calibration, and complete setup verification prior to production runs.
- Monitor machining operations continuously and make adjustments to maintain part quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
- Maintain strict compliance with AS9100 quality standards and controlled manufacturing processes.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment supporting aerospace and defense programs with real deadlines.
- Collaborate with the team to meet commitments, including occasionally staying late, adjusting schedules, or stepping in where needed to ensure production goals are achieved.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining (strongly preferred).
- Experience working on aerospace and defense programs or similar high-reliability applications.
- Interest in learning and working with advanced composite manufacturing processes.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-accountability production environment with real deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and support colleagues as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based on 1st shift, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime is not mandated but is frequently available for trained employees who want additional hours. The facility is temperature-controlled, bright, and organized. Work supports aerospace and defense programs with real deadlines, so there are times when the team must push to meet commitments.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
