Nurse Manager - Oncology

Brooklyn community hospital seeks an Nurse Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to oncology patients. This leader will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient department operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Oncology Unit, including staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care.
• Monitor and improve quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, and clinical outcomes.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing nursing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, productivity targets, and resource utilization.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making for oncology services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or Nurse Manager.
• Oncology nursing experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), MHA, MBA, or related advanced degree, preferred

$150,000 - $175,000
