Cellar.com is one of America’s leading purveyors and importers of fine wines and spirits. Our products are on the pulse of today’s trends and makers, but rooted in a 4th generation family business. A treasured institution in the nation's capital, Schneider's turned 70 in 2019 and is more forward-thinking than ever.
Cellar.com and Schneider’s have always been defined by family. Founded by Abe Genderson and his father-in-law, Max Schneider, the store evolved from a local corner store to one of the foremost fine wine destinations in the US under the direction of Abe’s sons, Rick and Jon Genderson. They were later joined by Rick’s son, Josh Genderson. Today, the brick and mortar store and online business are run by Elyse Genderson, Abe’s granddaughter, along with a team of wine experts with over 30+ years of industry experience.
The heart and soul of Schneider's is still its historic storefront in Washington, DC, but there's more than meets the eye. Among other offerings, wine collectors come to Cellar.com and Schneider's to sell their collections and purchase rare bottles, wedding couples come for expert beverage catering and customers across the country take advantage of the robust and respected cellar.com.
