Plumbing Estimator

Salomons Pipe2Pure is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team. The Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for evaluating plumbing projects, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, communicating with customers, and helping the company secure profitable residential and commercial work.

The ideal candidate has strong plumbing knowledge, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand project requirements and turn them into accurate, professional estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect residential and commercial plumbing systems to determine project requirements.
• Prepare accurate estimates for plumbing repairs, replacements, remodels, new installations, and commercial projects.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents.
• Calculate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, permits, and other project expenses.
• Develop detailed proposals and scopes of work for customers.
• Obtain material and equipment pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project information.
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and explain recommended work.
• Follow up on estimates and proposals to help convert opportunities into approved jobs.
• Coordinate with technicians, project managers, office staff, and management.
• Identify potential job-site issues, additional work, and cost concerns before work begins.
• Ensure estimates are profitable and consistent with company pricing and policies.
• Assist with change orders and additional work when project conditions change.
• Visit job sites when necessary to gather measurements, inspect conditions, and verify scope.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, property managers, and general contractors.
• Meet company goals for estimate accuracy, customer service, sales, and closing percentages.
• Maintain confidentiality of company pricing, customer information, and business information.
