Skilled Construction Laborer for Residential Custom Builder

Blake Development Corporation is seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Laborer to assist with residential custom home construction and remodeling projects. This hands-on position supports multiple phases of construction, including demolition, framing, finish work, site preparation, and punch list completion. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes to a productive jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction labor on custom home and renovation projects.
• Assist with demolition, site preparation, and material handling.
• Complete framing, blocking, trim, siding, and other carpentry-related tasks.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, hardware, and fixtures as directed.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
• Identify and report jobsite issues to supervisors.
• Assist subcontractors and other crew members when needed.
• Complete punch list items and final project details.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with 3 years of driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and work orders.
• Experience with framing, trim carpentry, remodeling, or general construction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
