Trucent is seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Site Manager to lead an on-site fluid management program at a key customer facility in Erie, PA. In this role, you will be the operational lead for a program that helps the customer improve performance, reduce waste, and manage industrial process fluids more efficiently. You will combine technical oversight, field leadership, and customer service to ensure the program runs safely, reliably, and profitably.

This position is ideal for a strong problem-solver with industrial maintenance or technical experience who enjoys working directly with customers, leading on-site personnel, and managing the day-to-day execution of a critical manufacturing support program.

Position Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operation and long-term success of an on-site chemical and fluid management program. This includes overseeing industrial process chemicals and fluids, managing inventory and logistics, coordinating maintenance and equipment support, and ensuring the customer receives responsive, high-quality service.

The role also includes leadership responsibilities such as directing on-site personnel, coordinating suppliers, maintaining records and reporting, and identifying opportunities to improve performance, reduce consumption, and lower total cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the on-site fluid management program.
  • Manage on-site personnel, work direction, and supplier coordination.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, instrumentation calibration, and mechanical/electrical repairs on Trucent equipment.
  • Coordinate tanker logistics, delivery schedules, and related documentation.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through physical counts, ERP transactions, receipt processing, and invoice support.
  • Create and update daily work orders, equipment records, site procedures, and work instructions.
  • Monitor fluid conditions, collect samples, and prepare internal and customer-facing reports.
  • Communicate with customers regarding fluid performance, sample results, service requests, and problem resolution
  • Maintain complete site history, including maintenance, projects, and improvement activities.
  • Respond promptly to customer calls, emails, and requests.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that improve quality, reduce waste, and optimize chemical spend.
  • Comply with all Trucent safety requirements, including PPE, hazard communication, and required training.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent experienceispreferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in skilled trades, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical handling, or fluid management preferred.
  • Prior customer-facing or team-lead experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Tools, Equipment, and Certifications

  • Hand tools, mechanic’s tools, computer, phone, and fax.
  • Machine-specific training provided for purification equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per company policy.
